FHCC is going to be listening to God’s Word through the summer starting on July 11th. Celebrating our freedom as a country to have the Bible, we will be spending 40 days listening to the whole New Testament!

Every person, young and old, will receive a free copy of the New Testament in CD (MP3) format. The goal is to listen about 28 minutes a day and in forty days the whole New Testament has been heard.

It costs about $25,596.00 to record one translation of the New Testament. On August 8th we are going to take an offering to help in these efforts and hopefully supply enough to pay for one book of the New Testament, $948.00.

Let’s be a part of what God is doing around the world when His Word begins to shape our lives as we dwell on it daily.

Faith Comes By Hearing is committed to reaching the nations with the Word of God in Audio, offering the Bible in a format that will connect with the world's 50% illiterate population. To accomplish this enormous task, the Lord has assembled a group of committed leaders and dedicated servants of His Word to develop into a reality the vision of bringing His church together and making disciples.

The word "nation" is the Greek word ethnos, which means "of the same language and people group," not the political borders of a country. The worldwide Bible translation and distribution ministries have determined there are 6,809 ethnos, or nations, in the world, most of which cross many political borders.

ALPHA is here!

Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The Alpha course usually meets once per week for 10 weeks, and includes an amazing one-day or weekend getaway. Each session, people enjoy great food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere where no question about life or God is seen as too simple or too hostile…questions like—Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going?

May 26, 2010 will be our introductory dinner. Please register with the church office or on Sunday, May 23. If you or someone you know is questioning life’s purpose and would like more information on what being a Christian is all about, this is the perfect time. Come and listen, ask questions and be accepted in a fun and relational environment.
